Returns, Changes, and Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes an item may need to be returned or exchanged, and we are here to help make that process as smooth as possible. Please read the following details carefully to understand your options for returns, changes, and cancellations with CE Clarke Fencing.

1. Changes to Orders

1.1 Requesting Changes: If you wish to make a change to the items in your order, please contact us as soon as possible. We will let you know if the requested change is feasible, along with any adjustments to the price, timing of delivery, or other necessary details related to the change. Any agreed changes will only be valid if confirmed in writing.

1.2 Restocking Fee for Loaded Orders: If the goods have already been loaded onto our delivery vehicle at the time of your change or cancellation request, we reserve the right to apply a restocking fee. This fee is equal to 20% of the order value and covers the costs associated with unloading, handling, and restocking.

• We will inform you of the restocking fee:
  • When discussing a change to your order, if applicable, or
  • At the point of cancellation.

2. Returns Policy

2.1 Standard Return Period: Aside from custom-made items, we accept returns of eligible items within 14 calendar days of delivery. To initiate a return, please notify us either by phone or email. Items should be returned in a saleable, original condition.

2.2 Conditions for Return Eligibility:

• Concrete Products: Due to their weight and handling requirements, concrete products (e.g., concrete posts and gravel boards) are not eligible for return unless there is a verified fault.
• Other Non-Returnable Items: This also includes post mix, cement, and certain specialized building materials like plasterboard and gypsum products.
• Saleable Condition: All returned items must be unused, undamaged, and in the same condition as received.

2.3 Return Shipping and Collection:

• Customer-Arranged Returns: You may arrange your own return shipping at your cost.
• CE Clarke Fencing Collection Service: If preferred, we offer a collection service at a rate equal to 20% of the item’s return value. Collection timing will be arranged between you and CE Clarke Fencing to ensure smooth logistics.Please note that initial delivery charges are non-refundable.

3. Refunds

3.1 Refund Processing: Refunds are processed to the original payment method used for the purchase. For items returned in line with our policy, we will issue a refund for the item’s price within 14 working days of receiving the return.

3.2 Delivery and Collection Charges: Refunds cover only the cost of the items returned. Delivery charges are non-refundable, and any applicable collection fees will be deducted from the refund.

4. Cancellations

4.1 Standard Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your order, please notify us at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery date to avoid fees. If canceled within 24 hours of the delivery date, a 10% cancellation fee will apply to cover administrative and logistical costs.

5. Timber and Natural Product Characteristics

We take pride in using quality natural timber for our products. Due to timber’s natural characteristics, some variations or minor imperfections may occur. These characteristics are normal and do not impact product integrity, so they are not covered by our returns policy. They include:

• Natural Splitting and Cracking: Wood may develop small splits or cracks due to environmental factors.
• Warping and Expansion: Changes in humidity and temperature can cause timber to expand or contract.
• Knots and Chips: Timber is a natural product and may include knots or small chips, which are common and do not affect functionality.
• Color Variation and Sap Residue: Variations in colour or sap marks are expected in pressure-treated timber and are part of the wood’s natural qualities.
