Fully Framed 1.75m Closeboard Garden Gate
Made to order by CE Clarke Fencing, this 1.75m high closeboard garden gate combines a fully framed construction with a traditional overlapping featheredge face. Choose the gate width to suit your opening, with options from 750mm to 1200mm in 10mm increments.
Rebated Frame with Mortice-and-Tenon Joinery
The joinery-grade redwood frame is rebated and mortice-and-tenon jointed. It is made from 100 × 50mm nominal timber, planed to approximately 95 × 45mm finished size. The nominal measurement describes the timber before planing; the finished measurement describes the frame used in your gate.
125mm rough-sawn featheredge boards overlap to form the solid face, giving the gate the familiar appearance of closeboard fencing. The timber is pressure treated with a brown finish for outdoor use, helping protect against rot and decay.

- Manufacturing tolerance: ±3mm.
- Hanging: can be hung in either direction with suitable fittings.
The selected width is the gate width, not the opening width. Allow for hinges, latch hardware and operating clearance before ordering. Check that your posts are sound and upright, and choose fixings to suit the gate and its supports.

Timber Care, Delivery and Collection
Check hinges and fixings periodically and keep the timber clear of soil and wet vegetation. If you want to paint or stain the gate, allow the timber to dry sufficiently and follow the exterior finish manufacturer’s preparation and recoating instructions.
