How we work it out

Quantities are an estimate for a straight run on level ground. Panels are rounded up; the last panel may need cutting. Concrete posts are intermediate posts; replace them with end or corner posts in your basket where needed.

Post mix and below-ground depth are allowances. Confirm what your site and installation need. Heights shown are nominal.

What does the estimate include?

Your chosen panels and posts, plus gravel boards and post mix if selected. Quantities and estimated costs update as you change the options. You can adjust quantities before adding materials to your basket.

Does the finished height include gravel boards?

Yes. The finished height is the nominal panel height plus your selected gravel board. The calculator shows the breakdown and selects a suitable length from the configured post range.

Can I calculate a fence with corners or gates?

This calculator estimates one straight run on level ground without gate openings. Concrete posts are intermediate posts. Replace them with end or corner posts where needed, or contact us for help with a more complicated layout.

Are the quantities exact?

They are estimates using a 1.88m bay allowance, one more post than panels and two bags of post mix per post. Panel quantities round up, so the last panel may need cutting. Check your measurements, ground conditions and installation requirements before ordering.

Does the price include delivery?

The estimate shows materials only. You can switch between prices including and excluding VAT. Your basket and checkout confirm current prices, stock, tax, applicable offers and delivery charges.
